The congestion charging zone covers the most central, heavily congested part of London. The congestion charge applies from 7.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. The charge does not apply during weekends or public holidays.

Penalties for late or non-payment are high, so it's worth making sure you know how the system works. You can pay online via this site. Take a look - it could save you a lot of trouble later!
